Make sure the inline cable is fully seated in the headset and on the Xbox One/PS4 controller.
Check and ensure that the volume wheel on the A10 Inline cable is turned up and not down
Unplug the headset from your Xbox One or PS4 controller and plug it directly into a smartphone. Listen to either a song or a video and see if you’re able to get audio.
