Inline mute cable
MixAmp USB Power Cable, Optical Cable, XBL Controller Cable, Microsoft Stereo Chat adapter. NOTE: The Xbox controller cable is sold separately. You can purchase the controller cable here.
First, ensure the MixAmp has the most recent firmware installed Ensure the MixAmp is connected to the USB Port on your PC in order to update it on your PC.
The Xbox 360 E was designed without an Optical port that most companies including Astro use to receive sound from the Xbox 360. Since it has been designed without this, you have a couple of options.
Connect the MixAmp to your HDMI converter box Optical port or the back of your TV’s optical port. Here is an example of the HDMI converter box.
Connect the MixAmp to the Xbox 360 E and HDMI converter or your TV’s Optical port. Insert the MixAmp USB Power cable to the rear USB Port and connect the Optical cable to the HDMI converter optical port or your TV’s optical port.
Next, turn on your Xbox 360 E and wait for it to load to the home screen. Turn on your controller and once fully connected to the console insert the Xbox Live controller cable into the bottom of your Xbox 360 controller. The A30 is the same setup as the A40 in the video.
Connect your A30’s to your MixAmp by plugging the Inline mute cable into the headset, and the other end of the cable into the port on the MixAmp with the headset icon. You are now ready to use your A30’s on the Xbox 360 E.
